| Aberfoyle is a small town with a population of only around 635 and it is situated at the base of Craigmore. It does have some historical connections with Rob Roy being born at nearby Loch Katrine and Mary Queen of Scots visited here often as a child. Aberfoyle is part of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and it is referred to in the poem "The Lady of the Lake" by Sir Walter Scott. |
