| Falkland is best known for being the favourite place for the Scottish royalty to visit in Fife. It was especially popular with the Stewart monarchs, as a hunting retreat where they would hunt wild deer and wild boar. The most famous attraction in Falkland is, Falkland Palace which is where the likes of Mary Queen of Scots and James V would stay. It also has the Worlds oldest tennis court, built in 1539 and which is still in use. |
