Selkirk Hotels

A border town with a population of around 5,839, Selkirk is a town steeped in history. Many famous names from Scotland's past have an association with this town, it was the first border abbey where William Wallace was declared guardian of Scotland. Also Sir Walter Scott served as sheriff here from 1799 till his death in 1832 and an annual winter festival transforms the town into a bustling Georgian Christmas market town for 2 days in honour of him.
